Default Auxillary Belt Change

Hi guys,

Just had my service done by a mate in his garage and he has recommended I get the auxillary belt changed as it is getting shiny from wear.

Does anyone know how much it would be and also how much a honda dealership would charge to fit?

thanks

From how I can see it (I am seeing it in my head), I think you just need to slack off the tensioner, remove belt, adjust tensioner.

That is the way i'd see it....from memory and I can't be bothered going outside to look - I should be sleeping!!

You don't need to do much with the tensioner. You can put a spanner on the nut in the middle and move/rotate the pulley a few inches by hand.

This gives enough room to slip the old off, and the new on.

The tensioner is spring loaded, so there is no loosening and re-tightening.
