Alas have now done over 300 miles since I fitted mine and the noise is still there now, so back to the drawing board, not massively bothered as it works well uses virtually no oil and pulls like a train so I will leave well alone.

To be fair, i fitted a new tensioner assembly including the pulley - it was only ever noisy after a good thrash on the next start up. Almost 90k miles, it was due for a change.
