Does the intake extension have any effect on the power output or delivery ?

Cheers

The intake ensures that the engine always gets air at ambient temperature. At low speed it won't really increase power, but it will eliminate any reduction in power due to increased under bonnet temperature.

At speed however, the ram air effect increases air to the engine and results in an increase in power across the range.

The prototypes were all painted white so as to stand out and show any problems during fitting. The first production run is in progress and depending on the orders they will be sprayed accordingly. Paints have been mixed from the S2000 colour codes. They will even be finished in clear coat.

They are made of fibreglass, but we are using 'finishing cloth' instead of traditional fibre matte so as to achieve a smoother internal finish.

When I have some finished products I will provide photos of the various options.

How do you fit it ?

Do we need to cut anything or will it just 'slot-in'?

Sorry that was a little misleading. You will have to either remove the plastic top plate in front of the rad or cut a hole in it to accommodate the CAI. My top plate has been removed since my air horn install so no biggy for me. Shouldn't be a problem anyway.

I will be providing fitting instructions and even a template if you wish to modify your air guard.
