The Aston has a cream cloth liner to the convertible roof.
It has a few dark marks where dirt has been rubbed in when the roof has been down.
Any ideas or suggestions on the best way to remove them?

Meguiars APC 10:1 or some carpet cleaner, rubbed in lightly, dampened then vacuumed off. Try in an inconspicuous place first

Hi Tango Man,

I'm well aware that DodoJuice or Poorboys products are both superior...however...

In wanting to take advantage of the Halfruads 3 for 2 offer, which of the following would you choose to use having washed/shampooed your car with Meguiars Nxt Generation Car Wash ??

1] Meguiars Nxt Generation Spray Car Wax

2] Autoglym Aqua Car Wax

Or will you tell me both products are poor?

Anyone used both? Feedback?

Thanks in advance...

Chet, Autoglym products are varied in quality. Liquid waxes are not one of their best. The Meguiars NXT Waxes I have had varied results with, not a favourite of mine. If I had to choose, I'd go for the Megs

There has been numerous discussions about PTFE waxes on Detailing World. The conclusion is that the PTFE does not bond to the paint and therefor is Snakeoil. Stilll, give it a go and tell us how you get on.

Thanks for the quick reply Tango - I feared neither would be a favourite of yours! If I pop into a store I'll go for the Megs, Cheers

Lee , got my order today

As you know i have a pc machine and a full set of lake country pads

• Cutting Yellow 6"
• Light Cutting Orange 6”
• Heavy Polish Green 6”
• Polishing White 6”
• Finishing Black 6”
• Finessing Blue/Red 6”

Which pad would work best with the swirlx or would be best to use more than one .|

Chet, I only stock stuff that I have used myself and find to be good. If its not in my shop then I either don't like it or I have never tried it

MotoGP1, Experience tells me to start off with the least aggressive pad then work your way up until you get the result you want. For Silverstones I usually find a mild polishing pad will get the result you need. These may cause some light holograming though which you should be able to get rid of using the finishing pads.

Lightly mist your pads first with some water of quick detailer to get them slightly damp, the polish will start to perform sooner rather than being soaked up by the pads. You will known when the polish has broken down by the area you are working on going clear or you will start to get dusting of the compounds.
