Default Arghhh! - car out of action!!

Well......I'm having a fun Thursday evening!. Left work early but when I got to my car saw a huge pool of oil under the car!!. Honda advised not to drive it and get it towed in for inspection so here I am, waiting for tow truck. Honda Care assistance can get me a truck for about 7.15pm (initial call at 4.50pm).......really quick service.....NOT!.

Sods law.........car will be in over the weekend and I was planning to sort out a load of mods on the car!. Typical!.

Rant over!.

Fingers crossed it's just something simple like the sump plug and you get the car back tomorrow.

Everything is crossed at the moment!.

They sent the wrong tow truck out (didn't realise an S2000 was a low profile sports car!).......it would have damaged the car if they tried to load it!. Now waiting for another truck!. The nightmare continues.......

sad to hear that - hope its nothing serious. Main thing is you spotted it and getting it seen to. Imagine if you had just driven off

Got car to garage last night and dropped keys in this morning. Two hours later........fixed!. Dodgy oil filter that has been replaced. I even get a free steam clean of the engine bay. Pick her up this afternoon and take her for a celebratory spin!.

Flippin' glad I noticed it because it was really shedding loads loads of oil and when I checked the dip stick it was below the minimum level!!.

One good tip for everyone if they ever need to get their car towed.......make sure that they understand that the S is a low profile sports car with only about 3" clearance at the front. The tow trucks that simply pick up the car by the front wheels will damage the S. You need a proper transporter that the car is driven onto. Would have been nice if Honda Assist had realised this last night.......would have meant I wouldn't have had to wait for another truck!.
