AP2 Tranny question
I need to know the differences between an USDM AP2 and a EUDM spec AP2 transmission..
Does the EUDM tranny also have the shorter 1-4 gears and longer 5-6 for highway?
I posted this also on S2000 talk but they redirected me here..

It was described on (I think!) a Car & Driver review of the AP2.
Sorry, it was a while ago!
Has anyone got an AP2 service manual?
Mine are
3,133
2,045
1,481
1,161
0,970
0,810
(I assume that includes the intermediate transfer gear at the back)
FD 4,756.
Good luck Jim!

Hmm well it's so importand because i'm gonna swap my old '00 tranny for a 2004+ because of the better gear ratio from the faster 1-4 gears and longer 5-6 for highway cruising,
But i heard this is only on the USDM spec AP2 tranny, not on the EUDM!, now i need to know it for sure because its MUCH cheaper for me to get a local tranny than shipping one from the US...
Thx for the info already! I'll try to compare the AP2 EUDM numbers with AP1 tranny..

I think 'ours' are still AP1s, because of the different engines/trannies.
Actually, if one of the 2004-on EU import owners (mine was from Be) would dig out their Certificate of Conformity, they could tell you the ratios!
C'mon you Bob Gerard customers!
Otherwise Nyther will have to go Variomatic!
