I think you've covered all the bases! Maybe ask about the footwell mats...? Locking wheelnuts? Confirm it has VSA and when they would expect the balance of funds to ensure it has cleared when you pick up the car.... Small point but do they stick any fuel in it for you?

re VSA .. Good point.
On the website the car says it has traction control. Make sure there is a big VSA button on the dashboard.

It will not come with footwell mats or locking wheel nuts IIRC. They are also seriously unlikely to put any fuel in it. The BMW I picked up went straight to the petrol station.

Well thankfully i'm no longer chomping at the bit for 'a' car. I'm feeling a lot more relaxed about just getting the 'right' car.

The guy at Motorpoint has just phoned to say he's replying to my mail and that he's gone out to take a load more pictures of the car prior to my going up there at the weekend. I've asked him to take a picture of all the buttons to confirm it's a VSA model.

With regard to mats i'd already ordered Muz mats when I thought i'd bought the last car so not too worried. The only thing I may have to buy will be the locking wheel nuts as you say.

However, another option for a nearly new car may have come up so that's something to look into too.

Slow and steady...

Sounds good to me. I think I asked most of your questions. I can't remember the guys name who I dealt with, I don't think it was Nick though.

I asked for both mats and a full fuel tank but the reply was no to both. You can just about make it to the petrol station located next door with the amount that it comes with! Something to do with health and safety, all fuel tanks have to have the bare minimum when stored on their property.

Gaspode: VSA button on the dashboard? Have you a photo of whereabouts it's located?

On the Left Hand Side of the wheel ( NOT on the wheel ) you have the fog light. On the right hand side - you either have a VSA button or like me a blank plate.

On the right hand side of the steering wheel, the blank plate is where my front parking sensors switch is. Interesting. So does that mean I haven't got traction control?

Now, I thought that VSA was standard on all 2007 models.

Is this not the case?
