Probably a stupid question, but are LHD and RHD headlights different, or are they the same component and beam direction is adjustable?
Hope that made sense.......
All your wisdom will be gratefully received.

No; they use a curved and angled shield at the bottom half, which cuts off the top-right half (lens!) on RHD vehicles. Shine a torch in, you'll see it.
Even if you CBA to unglue the headlamp & disassemble the projector, it's not reversible. They stick zits over the flicked-up part of the beam to stop one dazzling continentals.
With Bi-s, the shield flips down, Thunderbirds-style, to give full projection.

The boys on the continent importing the UK cars always flatten the top of the stepped cap that makes the beam as it is... it's basically just a horizontal line afterwards which is MOT proof.
