Would have thought a tap to the wheel like that whould knacker the diff.

Yeah, angle of rear gun matches wheel - expect chassis leg to be turned.

Remember, these are usually given a scientific pump with a car-o-liner so they're less crumpled than when they came in.

mechanically yes they are.... unbolt bent bits bolt on new... then off to a bodyshop to have the 1/4 repaired, if the frame needs a tug with a dozer/jig then so be it

The drive shafts will probably be knackered as well, and they are expensive (

i've also built a twin engined nova 2 x 1.6 8v

thing is i don't know that much about the s2k yet... i've just been under my new one with a torch looking how it goes together give me 6 months and i will be up to speed and taking on anything diy the only time my cars go to the garage is for an mot and even then i do most of it myself!

I think it's fair to say the S2k isn't a car you can bodge together like you can with a hatchback (not that I'd recommend cutting and shutting any car!).

infact is it not easier with the s2k having a frame?

that cut and shut i built worked fine... all we did was direct panel replacement
the pickup is still going stong 5 years later, no cracks and no extra welding needed
