Is Anyone Actually Driving their S2k?
Hey,
Just wondered if anyone has actually been driving their s2k in these sub zero conditions?
I took drove mine on Friday and today and it was horrible
Honestly the backend was everywhere (even in inner city manchester where the roads are heavily gritted)!
This is my first xmas in the s2k and although I knew it would be bad I never expected the car to be this much of an animal to control lol.
I find myself constantly having to battle to keep it straight even at 20 mph (no throttle at all).
I'm wondering whether a geo might help or whether the only option is winter tyres.

last winter, in the snow and ice, a large 4X4 failed to make it up the slope/hill in front of us and promptly slid back down and almost took the front of my S off. I decided that I didn't want to risk the S getting shunted or slide into so now drive the accord in the slippy stuff. No fun but then I want to keep all your insurance premiums down.

Yeah, been 'oot and aboot for various journeys.
Summer tyres, very low and its exactly as you would expect.
If you thump the throttle on ice, the back slides, if you turn too fast or hard, the back slides, if you try to pull away with too many revs, the back slides.
See the pattern here!
I am in the south east, so whilst we didn't get anywhere near as much snow as those up north, we still got a fair bit, and the first roads I encounter upon leaving my house never see sun, or grit.
I could forsee being flummoxed by a big arse hill though!
Smooth and gentle inputs, highest gear possible, and forward thinking should see ya right on any urgent journeys. Had more than one car slide out a junction in front of me recently, too fast approaching methinks.

Yeah everyday haven't got stuck yet, driving up most sideroads in a sideways action but still not a problem at all. I've got falken fk452s and my front acts as a snow plow good fun.
