Default Anybody near to Whitley Bay this weekend?

Hi,
I'm in Whitley Bay this weekend. Anybody here from this area? Somebody interested to drink one or two beers together?
I'm here for business, and alone it's not very intersting here...
But it looks like a big party here in Whitley Bay at the weekend!

See you..

When I used to visit Whitley Bay on business I had a great time at the Rex Hotel (if it is still there!). Tuesday was Grab a Granny Night but things were going on all week.

Happy Days!!!

Whitley bay is pretty ropey these days, lots of stag nights etc and it's pretty rough from what I can gather.

I'm in the area but busy this weekend unfortunately.

I've been advised not to frequent the strip club in Whitley Bay. Apparently you run a risk of catching herpes from drinks served by them strippers (hint: guess where they keep the bills? )

Long gone I'm afraid mate.

Whitley bay has turned into a drinking centre, most of the shops are boarded up, a lot of the houses are boarded up (even the nice big ones on the sea front) and it's all been caused by the late night bars that have been there for the last 5 years or so. Lots of crowds of drunks on the street causing trouble and making it a particularly undesirable area to live.
