Question any thoughts!? *UPDATE...*

your experiences / guidance is really needed!
my car is in with garageR at the moment, i bit the bullet and drove up the distance on the basis of having some issues that no-one else could give the experience needed..

the problem - 1st-2nd gear very difficult to select, have to really really delay change so it doesn't crunch, or it will crunch. It is also difficult selecting reverse. Gears are very notchy even when car is hot hot.. the car wasn't like this when i first got it, silky smooth. The car is an 04 with 27k on the clock, the clutch also bites very high up the pedal, only thing i have done is do the 27k service a little early when i first got it, gear oil was swapped out for Amsoil mtf. Rob has started by greasing the clutch fork but it is still the same and he is looking into other possibilities before having to take the box off! Have seen the honda bulletin about greasing bits up although this only appied to 00-03 and have sent this on.. any help would be really appreciated..

no noises from gearbox..
clutch is high but does not slip, the release bearing sounds a little bit noisey which goes away when you put your foot on the clutch..

My release bearing does that too,i took the car to Honda and they started another MY07 plate S2000 up and that did exactly the same too. I think they just do that.

Mine also has a noisy release bearing - 04 with 63k.

As above, crunching sounds like gearbox issues to me too.

not sure on the best way forward, source another box from 04+ used and put that on, or remove box to see if garageR can access the prob... don't really want to have to do either but there we goes

Buy a second hand box from a breaker,i know there's no guarantee that it will be fine but the probablility of it having issues are slim if it;s low mileage.

You could always sell your problem gearbox too to re-coup some costs.

Really silly question here, but when you refer to it as 'high', do you mean furthest away from you/your seat, or closest to you/your seat?

My release bearing is quiet but when I put my foot on the clutch pedal gently I can feel a slight vibration.
Thought about changing the gearbox oil for something else to see if that helps? also you could check for swarf in the oil at the same time to see if anything is breaking up.?
