Any tall S2000 owners out there ?
I'm in the market for an S2000 in the new year. I sat in one at the Scottish motor show (hood up). Headroom was fine, shoulder room reasonable and keg room OK (I'm 6'2"). The only worry was the steering wheel was quite close to my thigh.
Anyone out there the same height and own won - if so, is it a problem and is the car comfortable enough for 2 or 3 hour trips ?

6'3" 35" inseam. I fit fine for driving and the great seats make trips comfortable. Less so on the passenger side, though. I can't fit in a Miata or Z3 at all.
Occassionally, the cramped compartment is a little tiresome (but never boring!)
Go for it.

I'm 6'3'' and heavy set and I have no problems at all.
I would be very surprised if you have any problems due to your size.
Take one for a test drive you will be sold straight away.

douglasr,
I'm 6'3" and I have NO problems with the amount of space in the S2000. I have taken my S2000 on several trips of two hours or more and I really like the way I feel when I get out of the car.
I've been known to drive straight through from Indianapolis to Denver (19 hours) before and I wouldn't hesitate to drive this in the S2000. I would really love it. I also like to stop and stretch everything every three or four hours.
Buy one and enjoy it.

6'6" and it is tight. Any other car and I wouldn't have bought it. If you take the time to push yourself as far into the seat as you can when you first get in, keep the radio door closed, and forget about any room at all for your left arm when the window is up, you'll be fine. But keep the shiny side up as the roll bar ain't gonna do you no good. It's a bit of trouble, but worth it to drive this car!

I'm not 6'2'' - but I found the S2000 quite easy to get a comfortable driving position considering there are few things to adjust. I tend to want to have the steering wheel quite close to me - but then on most cars you catch your legs on it - S is pretty OK. Gear stick position -
I passed on the Alfa GTV because it was simple impossible to fit into it, I would need to lose about a 12" in height but then add that length to my arms.

You'll have no worries, I'm 6'4" and my 32" waist pants have long since been out grown ( ) and I fit in the car very well. I think tall drivers have an advantage as you needn't move your left arm to shift and your elbow sits far enough back to avoid those pesky switches on the tunnel. Your right arm (UK RHD) also sits snugly on the arm rest in the door - very comfortable driving position for me!

As Pete (how did you remember that?!?!), points out, I am 6'2" and agree with everybody and particularly Tif, your elbow rests nicely behind the headlight washer and demister (for those with a hardtop) and I have done many 2 or 3 hour journeys in it and get out at the other end exhilarated but needing a minor stretch, no different to most cars I have driven.
Size is not a problem (well not your size anyway)
