Any reason why I can't use 05 calipers?
Car in for service and it's blindingly expensive ... but such is life!
One of the calipers is seized on my MY00 and I've picked up some from an MY05 - any reason why they wouldn't swap and is there any difference in them?
Turns out I need the timing chain etc replaced too, so this is totting up to be about

From what i can see on a parts list the calipers are exactly the same as each other. If its a dealer its probably because they are used parts and they won't take responsibility if they fail.
As for the timing chain, how many miles has the car done?? The TCT is normally the first thing to go as i thought the chain had the same life expectancy as the engine.
