Default Any one fitted Spoon battery/earthing kits?

Right after calming down after last nights events Here!! , I found some time too fit my new Spoon battery, stay kit and earthing kit.

Pretty simple I thought!

Two problems have been causing me a little concern.

1. The instructions say to fit one of the earthing straps just behind the inlet manifold. Well the instructions have a picture and thats where I think it goes anyhow!! - As they are in Japanese .......

2. The Battery Positive connection is bigger that the battery terminal and I have had to "crimp" the standard connection to fit it on, before tightening the bolt. I'm not too happy about this in case it comes loose whilst driving!! As you can imagine!

Unfortuantely its become too dark to take any photos to make things clearer....

Has anyone experienced these troubles and can help?

i did mine 2 weeks ago. it says you can bolt it to the underside of the manifold, but its hard to access so i did it where the injectors bolt onto the manifold. just make sure it is touching metal.
re: battery connector i used my original and bolted the spoon stuff to it.

RTFT

Only problem I had was that I needed the adapter for the leads.

So theres an adapter for the battery!! That may solve my problems - I just hope I can prize the + lead apart to fit it!

Nambiker - thats where I ended up fitting the remaining strap.

As for difference - I cant say for sure as I havent driven the car anywhere as im afraid the + connector will pop off over a bump from my progessives!!

Waste of money IMO unless you are seriously into reducing the weight of the car (or you pick it up cheap).
