Any Help
Hi all see what you think about this. Last sunday I left the car in 2nd gear and trundled down a drive about quarter of a mile on its own revs, on reaching the bottom dipped clutch, revs dropped and it stalled. Started engine straight away engine management light came on, and stayed on! On a short trip say 10miles, stop for say half an hour set off again and shes virtually un-driveable, everytime you bring the clutch up the revs just die. After a minute or so this clears , also dosent happen all the time. The car is under warranty, so booked into local garage for diagnostic check, that was today so spent an hour there for him to say his machine would not communicate with my car. The warranty company will not pay main dealer rates or diagnostic fee, any ideas

So clutch in and the engine stalls?
Sounds like the MAP sensor.
It's on top of the throttle body, give it a firm tap.
or
Wait till the engine is cold and take it off (it's two screws, if they are warm/hot they'll shred themselves when you use the screwdriver) and watch out for a rubber 'O' ring under it. Once off, attack the underside with carb cleaner etc and clean it out.
Re-attach, re-start and go for a drive.

It could be a lot of things which cause a car to stall (MAP / Lambda / air leak etc etc)
You need that code though.
You are a bit far from me, but I do have a code reader and can diagnose it and clear it for you. I would pop into the local Honda dealer and ask if they will do it FOC in return for you using them for servicing With the code, we can assist
If it was my car, I wouldn't worru about giving the car some stick unless the CEL is flashing. It will probably go away in 20 odd miles (it still stores the code though)
