Sorry to hear about your S.

I had a whack on my rear wheel when nobbing about in the snow and the bill came to over

well, it's been 10 days since it's happened and it's all moving pretty quickly. car got taken to the bodyshop on the 13th, insurance assessor was out on monday (the 20th) , got declared a write off today, hopefully get an offer from the insurance company over the phone tomorrow and get told how much i can buy my car back for.

it's my b'day in 2 days, so it's a bit of a pain not being able to get out and about as i now have no courtesy car, so hopefully get a nice settlement figure so i can buy something nice and shiny.

nah, neither really appeal to me.

if i get another honda it will be another s2k.

other things i'm looking at are a 330ci, but i think it might be a little leggy for the money i want to spend.

maybe a leon cupra R.

maybe an S3.

i know the above 2 are pretty boring compared to the s2k, but i can't really think of anything else for around 7.5k that i want.

now the summer is pretty much here the prices of all s2k's seem to have risen massively. unless i get a very good payout from my insurance then i dunno if i'll have the cash to buy a decent s2k.

Depends how raw you want it but neither the S3 nor the Leon Cupra R have the driving satisfaction you'll get from an ITR DC2 or even an EK9 CTR .

Ah shiiiiiiit

Unlucky fella, happens to the best of us.

Lessons learnt and all, i try not to boot the S in the rain.

I've had my S snake from one side of the road to another in the past (this was only after 6 months ownership), but wasnt going too fast and backed off and corrected it.

With the money you get off the insurance, why not save up for a month or two and get another or better still younger model with less sideways tendancies
