Default another noise thread, sorry but please help

I think the noise is coming from close to or from the hub itself. It only appears to happen under braking, and it happens at random times, and not very often .... when it does happen you can almost feel the clunk inside the car too as though something has shifted forward or slid forward in the boot. By the way I have no spare wheel in the car should you think it is that (plus the noise is from the other side of the car).

Any ideas gratefully received.

Single clunk from rear passenger
std body in the boot issue - you need to visit the pig farm

Anti-rollbar? Known weak point on car.
I think probably not since you'd get it once when it detaches I think but best guess of mine as a starter for 10

i'd strip the caliper and have a look at that, maybe broken/damaged pad moving about?

you need to take that wheel off and have a ferret about

I should have described it better I guess.

Thanks for the suggestions so far ... could it be the hub nut needs tightening, for some reason i seem to remember something on the lines of the hub nuts making a clunking noise and that this was a 'free' fix from HONDA .... perhaps it was just wishful thinking

Are you sure it isn't the spare wheel ?

I have exactly the same noise from the same side and my local dealer checked the car on the ramp, with the wheel off, and said it looks like worn splines in the hub. They are going to do a more detailed examination next week to confirm this diagnosis with a view to a warranty claim.

get the hub nuts checked, i went on for ages with honda looking into it and thinking it could be this or that, even after i suggested to them about the hub nuts coming loose being a known problem.
Then after weeks of going back and forth it turned out to be the hub nuts.
Apparently there is an updated torque setting on there database for it now, so 'shouldn't' happen again

Cheapest solution is that if it was raining, the rear pads may have stuck to the disc (if handbrake was on). It happens to mine all the time, esp when I wash it. Sometimes takes a few revs to 'break' the seal between the pads and the disc. It's nothing permanent.
