Default Another day.. another supercharger thread

Well, as some know I was the other owner in the group buy...

Due to a recent business trip to saudi and working in retail at this time of year my time has been really limited so I just paid someone to install the kit.
I opted for my local friendy Alan Day Honda dealers master technican to do it, who jumped at the chance! - Over in the USA this is a common dealer fit option anyway

From this ....

To this...

With Mikey's and Bens help I have used a AEM UEGO AFR gauge (just needing tapping into the cat/decat), a SPA oil temp/pressure gauge and a B&M fuel pressure gauge. Still a bit of work to do here and I'll get a picture of the gauges later on.

Impressions:

In normal town driving is actually quite sedate - until you find a nice bit of open road, then it certainly transforms into much more of a beast at high rpm's as expected! Its drinking far more fuel too Like others have said it does add a little weight to the front of the car but it doesnt effect normal driving IMO, the blower noise isn't as loud as I expected but its certainly noiser than before. Its defiently louder outside the car as the yellow beastie had a bit more attention by other road users and passers by whilst I was held up in traffic on the journey home!

Will post more later as I need more fuel!!

awesome work!

All these charger threads make me want one

I guess you adjusted the FPR using the AFR gauge to make sure it wasn't running lean the same as Bibbs?

Does the intake get in the way of the strut brace?

Total labour was worked out on 18hours... but I had a "friendly" rate

The FPR is pre set to a standard setup, which mine is now bar HKS exhaust & Spoon manifold. Its even got the standard cat back in. AFR sensor needs welding onto the cat/decat pipe tomorrow and just plugging into the gauge. It will get a little tweak if needed, Bens ran lean because of his silly exhaust and decat pipe we think so mine should be ok for a few days, Its certainly not pinking or misfiring at all.

As soon as my son's asleep I'm off for another play
