I was pleasantly surprised to be able to book my car in for it's annual service last Friday - they did it same day!

I was further surprised and pleased to get a bill for

I think I must be relatively easy on tyres as we checked my rears before a track day yesterday, 12K miles including 2 track days and they were both standing at 4.5mm.

I had S02 pp's on my prelude and they were knackered after 12K and that was without any track days.

Your wear seems a little high to me unless you have a heavy right foot if thats not the case then you may want to get a full 4 wheel alignment done to make sure everything is ok.

I get the impression Honda keep the service cost down to encourage people to do the service - maybe helps keep down later issues and keep reliable brand image intact.... I also pay more for my family Nissan than I do for the Honda.

A lot of people skip regular maintenance when they are short of a bob two - a big false economy.

seems to me that if you are at all worried about the service costs then you have bought the wrong car - I never look at service charges - just buy and enjoy the car you desire.

I don't think anybody here is too worried about the costs as they are very reasonable compared to other cars on the road. No point paying more than you have to though.

Have not yet got to servicing time , it does seem that the stook is relatively cheap in this respect , was in Temple Honda Harlow last week looking @ the New 2002 in the showroom and spoke to service manager on this very point , he suggested that the service schedule is pretty much the same as the mundane Honda cars hence the price

Also suggested price to revise suspension to 2002 spec about
