Genuine Honda Oil Filter. Others have been known to spin off. Ensure you get the tool to tighten it up correctly (hand tight NOT sufficient). They are available from Hellfrauds.
why do you say hand tight not sufficent? i have always hand tightened mine and never had issue

I used to have the same school of thought on this one, but have seen the consequences of loose filters on here which resulted in a torched S

I don't like to blow my own trumpet, but I do have a damned good grip, although I don't trust that any longer.

The S is different from many other vehicles in that it revs so high. Higher revs = more vibration = more chance of it coming loose.

I'd check your filter IIWU...better to be safe than sorry. The tool only costs ~ £10, so it's not exactly an expensive choice

If you ever do have an issue it's a big one.

I suspect it depends on how hard you are able to hand-torque the filter. Some of us are stronger than others no doubt so would be able to "hand-tighten" it sufficiently without the use of tools. It is cheaper to ensure that it is put on properly instead of having the filter come off and cause damage to the engine/car.

Honda recomend tighten till contact then 7/8 of a turn extra, thats quite a bit. Did mine (K&N) by marking it with tippex.
