So I have had this annoying rattle for the past few weeks. I don't think its the tensioner but I may very well be wrong.

It only comes about at a certain resonance of the engine between 1-2k revs. It sounds like a loose heat shield or something rattling on the exhaust manifold but I can't find anything loose.

I have attached a video of what I mean so you can have a hear for yourself.

Any thoughts/solutions greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't rule out your cat innards being fubar.

If you're mechanically minded whip it off and give it the hippy hippy shake, it should be obvious.

My whole 'cylinder' within the cat was sliding around when my cat was gone!
