My car seems to have developed an incessant 'plastic against plastic' type ticking/ creaking noise from just near my right ear. On closer inspection it seems to be coming from (or near from) either the seat belt guide clip afixed to the top of the seat back rest, or from the seat belt material itself. I've tried spraying all likely culprits with either wd40 or silicon spray but have not so far been able to solve this.

OK, it's only a minor thing and you expect the get various noises with a convertible, but if anyone has any advice on fixing it I would appreciate it!

Velcro backed felt will do this, there is a more detailed description in the 'DIY' thread.

Its the seat belt rubbing against the leather, i have some felt stuck on the leather to stop the noise.

The guys above gave you the solution. I had the same squeek and i fixed it with velcro back tape as guys said
