Amuse titanium dual - a few pics and thoughts
#62
just for your records I got the weight of MAuse Dual and single, Euro and Titan spec.
R1 Titan Euro:
Single - 5.8kg
Dual - 9.5kg
R1 Extra Titan:
Single - 4.9kg
Dual - 6.3kg
After looking at the S2000library, I was looking for the euro single spec, max performce and a quiet exhasut.
But the dual titan is only 400 grams heavier than the single Euro. the gig diference is 4 hp at the wheels

Yeah i have Jenvey throttle bodies
Also have an RS*R GT11 Single exit exhaust which is less than half the weight of the std one!
Next on the list is cams and a manifold Std manifiold sure aint light though
As for the amuse, very nice although i seriously doubt i could stomach spending that kinda cash on an exhaust

The stock exhaust is weighted towards the manifold.
Have you felt the weight of the rear section (cat back) of the stock system snapper? I can't believe that the front section could be heavier!

I felt the weight of the stock exhaust for the first time yesterday as I manhandled it into the back of my dad's car to be shipped off to my storage facility (a.k.a. Dad's garage ) to join my hardtop and assorted other junk - bugger me, it's heavy! Especially in comparison to the Amuse, which I had had to put into the car to take to the dealers for fitting.
It seemed that the majority of the weight was in the bits immediately in front of the cans (spot the techie ) so I'm struggling to see how the weight is towards the front

I've just got back from a weekend in Ipswich (circa 500 miles) and my pipes have started to look like this already.
