I'd use 5w myself.

Always used Motul V300.

And I agree with Bassoctopus above on the first 2 sentences.

Tesco do some chilli infused extra virgin.

I bought a load of Fuchs from Opie last week, but haven't used it yet. I'm sure the difference any of this makes to the engine is tiny, but my TCT issues started at the same time I used Mobil 1 in this engine, which as it's oil driven may be a factor in the choice.

And the other factor is how much of it gets used. I'd pay more for an oil that lasts longer, even if it offers no more protection.

 

I have 10 litres of Mobil 1 0w40, contemplating getting something else now and try and return it to Opie! Never opened.

Got a feeling should have got the 5w30.
