Default Amp wiring?

I have recently bought off ebay a boot install (dan's which was posted on fs as well) and need a bit, well a lot actually of help with the wiring. I don't need anyone to actually do the installation as I am looking forward to that. I'm just not sure on the wiring and what goes where.
The set up consists of 2 amps (alpine mrd m500(for sub) & alpine mrv f340), a capacitor and a sub. I know that one amp is for the sub and one is for the 4 speakers but not sure what gets connected to what in what order (good english).

Can I just take one feed from the battery or do I need one per amp
Do I need an improved earth from the battery aswell
Do I tee off one cable to the capacitor and then to the amp for the sub.
Do both amps get connected together (think they do)
Will I blow my car up, hope not.

Anyone recommend good places to purchase cables, speaker wire, interconnects etc

The hu I have is alpine 9812 so hopefully that'll be okay

Sorry for the long text but so many questions and so little clue

Thanks

Marc

No problems, all part of the adrenaline buzz. Couldn't afford it really anyway. I would have gone to 500 at the most and to be honest I was having trouble login in 5 min before closure
