Aluminium Fabrication
I know one off fabrications are not often cheap or feasible but I am interested in looking into it anyway.
In short we have square Windscreen Insurance Discs over here and all we get is nasty looking plastic stick on pouches to put them in, they fade and eventually start to sag.
What I want to fabricate is an aluminum one (or whatever material is cost effective and looks good) to use, much like your Tax Disc holders that are round, but square, and big enough to display the WID legally.
I might look into bigger circular ones but the actual diameter you need in a circle to display 87mm by 79mm is verging on ridiculous. Then there is the problem of space on each corner where no paper is... not going to look good.
Any ideas where/who I could approach for something like this?

do it yourself.
have a look at www.frontpanelexpress.com
You can have a topplate and a lower plate that screw together
Should be quite cheap.
edit.
If you have the dimensions of what you are after - I'll even draw it up for you.
And the product ships from Germany.

Who we used in the past.
You could say you know Paul and Gary at Cotech Fabrications in Plymouth and see if that gets the conversation going.
