Default Alpine buzzing noise

Has anybody else had their Alpine HU Fascia make a buzzing noise?

It seems to be about 2.5k rpm, roughly, it just goes "bzzzzz" then stops as you move out of the rev range (only when driving, not when stationary)

I've got some anti-rattle tape stuff (sticky backed felt) and I've tried putting it all over th eplace but no luck. If I push the short-end, on the left hand side, towards the right it stops, tis driving me a bit insane!

Anybody else found this and stopped it? Kelk's does it too so I'm thinking it might be an Alpine-ism!

it's not clutch related is it? mine's a 99 model so has the clutch buzz probelm (not had tsb 054 done) but sometimes it seems as tho it's coming from directly behind the stereo.

No, def the fascia - doesn't make the noise if the fascia isn't on, and it stops if I prod the fascia in the right place.

have you checked all connecitons behind the headunit? anything loose/caught/pinched could cause this. take it out and have a look and place the headunit back into place pushing all wires downwards and out of the way from anything that may catch them.

The HU has been in and out several times, still the same noise. It's definately just the face plate buzzing - if you take that off its as quiet as a mouse!
