I've never seen an S looking so high.. have you jacked it up or something?? The wheels/tyres look too small?
I sometimes wished I got the Boosts as they do look really good. Or at least they would if Hyper fixed his suspension which is clearly borked.

[QUOTE=dp106,Jul 9 2008, 01:09 PM] Thought I would see if anyone else has any ideas...

I've been looking for some new wheels for a while now, currently have the oem 16"s but I think the later 17"s look a lot better. Trouble is people want an awful lot for these wheels second hand, and yes I'm aware how much they cost new before you tell me!

I've since been trying to find an alternative that will fit the S, look good, are reasonably light and not cost the earth.

Therefore things like Prodrive or Volk wheels are out as there's no way I can afford to pay

Cheers for the responses guys, and yes I am well aware of the wealth of information using the search - believe me I have looked! However most articles refer to one set of wheels not all the options. Plus there seems to be more on the expensive wheels you can get rather than more reasonably priced wheels. Wasn't aware there was anything in the faq about which wheels you could fit though? I know there is stuff in there about the offsets you should have.

Dembo: I think Mugen888 still has his wheels for sale but I'm really not sure about the combination of different wheels. I think they look quite different so it would always be in the back of my mind. The fact that they're still for sale suggests I'm not the only one who thinks this so I'm also thinking about if I ever wanted to sell them on again.

aaroncosbey: Those ULTRALEGGERA's look very nice but I'm thinking their 18"s? Not sure if they'd look as hot in 17"s.

Guzzie: They look very nice, especially lowered, wonder what they would look like on a standards car. Could be tempted if you're thinking of selling them.

Seems to me anything Mugen and you can more or less double the price. Somehow doubt those will be in my budget...

Think of it like this....

With such an effective, easy and popular mod being changing the alloys... the 3 things that come into play are "Choice", "price" & "exclusivity".

Look at the cheap selection of FOX etc... in halfords: every chav has a set of "ENZO replikas" on his or her corsa!

The higher the price....The More exclusive.

That doesnt mean that ultraleggeras dont look good because they are more common. I think that the pic i posted above is explicit material

However as you start to increase the price, small and subtle differences can be seen in from rotas, volks & mugen all the way up to
