Default Alloy Refurb/Scratch fix for trade in?

Im going to be trading in my car (to a dealer - not interested in private sale) soon and just wondered if its worth getting the alloys refurbed and the couple of reasonably sized scratches fixed.

If I was selling it privately then I would certainly get this done, but what are peoples opinions on if its cost-effective doing this for trade in?

Thanks in advance!

you won't get any more for the car in px

scuffed alloys are a common thing and dealers expect it

Its an 05 plate.

Think I might just get the alloys and scratches fixed and keep the car a little longer now as some of the trade in prices have been pretty shocking.

I hear that Chips Away are pretty hit and miss when it comes to getting this done properly - does anyone have any experience with them (or a similar company) in East London/Essex area?

Chips away are a franchise so it is very hit and miss whether you get someone who is good or not.. I would say avoid..

I appreciate its slightly out of your way, but Auto-look in Ipswich does an amazing job! He’s repaired several deep gouges/scuffs on my OEM wheels and I couldn’t tell where the damage had been

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful chap (Alan) I would recommend him without question!
