Alloy Centre Cap warranty
Hi all,
Three of my 4 centre caps on my alloys are starting to show signs of corrosion.
Little white marks are showing which eventually just flake off and leave what can only be describes as a hole in the lacquer. I have not yet had a need to use any alloy wheel cleaner as I tend to wash the wheels down at least a few times a week and just use the car shampoo ( autoglym ) that I use on the bodywork.
Anyone else experienced this and could these be replaced under warranty.
The car is a 2005 model.
Many thanks ..... Andy

I had the same problem and although I thought the wheels themselves were okay, the dealer got me a complete set of new wheels as well as the wheel centres. You shouldn't have a problem with the dealer since, as LL says, it's a well known problem. Something to do with Japanese made alloys and British road salt ...

I got 2 replaced under warranty, they (Honda, not the dealer) refused to replace two as they were ok (I argued that they were bound to go the same way fairly soon, but nae luck...tightwads)
