Default All the way from Japan...

After months of research and debating I finally decided that a single exit exhaust was the way forward if your looking for decent n/a gains and a good weight saving.

From there I read up on virtually every single exit made for the S, from 60mm to 80mm and from steel to titanium.

The general concensous was that a 70mm was the preffered choice, the only draw back being how loud they are!

So with that in mind I went on the search for a well flowing 70mm lightweight exhaust that's not too loud and the answer was the ASM 70mm SPL.

There were mixed reviews on this but in the end I just decided to go for it, as you do.

One problem was finding someone who could get you ASM parts, most of the companys were stateside until I found vtec-direct over in Leeds.

I spoke to the guy there, Barry, who has an NA1 NSX-R and he's a complete Honda nutter so I knew I was onto the right man

The exhaust took about 4 weeks to come and it arrived last friday and heres a few pictures...

and a few close ups to try and show the quality, it really is awesome

and some comparisons to the OEM, the weight difference was unbelievable, 12lb's compared to 58lb's!

and fitting it, the fit was spot on, just like Honda had made it them selves.

Thats all i've got so far, i've got some more pictures on my camera once I get them sorted out of the exhaust on the car, it looks a bit funny with the spare cut-out but i'll sort that out with a new rear bumper some day.

I'm going to get some video footage too from the inside and outside the car, there is no drone at all though when mated up to my Berk decat, it's fairly quiet most of the time really unless your on full throttle, in VTEC it really opens up and sounds awesome

As for the butt dyno, it feels stronger from about 5000-6000rpm and from about 8000-9000rpm, I will get it back on the dyno when I get chance and post the results up.

Can't wait for some more tasty n/a mods to compliment this in the future

Rick

I see you are on the ASM "baller" thread, Red Un

PS - i'd love to hear it. Be great to hear a single exit which doesn't make you deaf!

Nice exhaust I Like the standard look - love the weight saving! Looks like its touching the bumper though or is it the angle of the photo?

If only Halfords was like its Autobacs brother.

Hmm, Barry.

On a different forum Barry was saying that the reason his prices are high is because he has to pay tax and pay for his warehouse and yada yada yada.

I wish I was as hard up as he is with his NSX-R...
