Those arch panels are thicker steel

Here is an OEM one to compare - crease appears more defined

Good job though. I bet it took some time

Yes I can see what you mean, I struggled to get arch`s though, not many about now, I always have two or three jobs on the go at the same time so difficult to work time out, if I was constantly on it I guess it would be four weeks, doing an MX5 now and got this far in a week

I dont have an oven so leave paint to go really hard before sanding or polishing whilst I get on to other jobs, at the moment I have the s2000 back with a brake master problem waiting for parts from japan, the MX5 in paint, a Merc S class with the engine stripped to replace oil cooler seals (22 hour job) and an RS6 with substantial damage to rebuild

I love a MK1 5.. great little cars just lacked a bit of spark under the hood.. but very light, great steering

Doesn't look too rotten that one

Yeah I was retired at 50 after an accident & broken back but had surgery 8 months later and came out of it well, had a think about what to do next and built the workshop, always wanted to paint so kitted up and learned that, fancied welding so bought tig & mig and learned that, now I am 7 days a week till the winter comes then I am reminded how busted up I was and slow off. No rust on mk1 just lots of dents and scratches, jap import with lacquer peal problems which I am doing Tornado red so it will really brighten it up when done, I had some left from a GTI I did last year

That's aftermarket right? I didn't even know they were turbo tbh

Mental in a >2 ton estate. I reckon deep pockets maint

Saw some fella had put an NA of that motor in an old Volvo estate. It sounded epic. The RS6 less so

Thats Audi built from 2008/9 in order to kick BMW off the "Fastest estate in the world" record, was 565bhp standard but this one has been to a specialist tuner, I think looking at the mess they should have sent the driver for upgrade first
