Default Alarm going off when 'Engine Start' button pressed ?

Hi guys

This has happened a few times now..... (OEM Honda alarm)........... Open car - get in - key in - ignition on - start button --> then the alarm will go off while the engine is running.

I will then have to remove the key, lock then unlock for it to stop sounding the alarm.

Does this a few times then all of a sudden lets me start the car without alarming.

Tried to figure this out but can't... any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Steven

It sounds like your battery is on the way out...I think this is a common sign, especially if the mornings are getting colder.

+1 classic symtom, just get it checked (for free) at KwikFit and buy one from Honda, has been in the past the cheepest buy (but worth looking around)then put it in yourself.

i think my JDM battery (poles are reversed compared to the UK/EUDM market) was less than £70.
i'm hoping it lasts better than the 2.5 years my previous battery did from partco - c.£50.

I'm sure the S2000 battery from Halfords was about £70?

Battery is £66 from Lings http://www.hondaoriginalparts.com/ho...block_03=19250

It took me about 5 minutes to change it, and i'm the least mechanically able person in the world. The hardest part is the lifting!
