Default aircon at Vtec

Just been reading of a little device that allows you to stop the AC under hard driving, its aim is to stop the loss of power the AC gives when you need it most but it also helps fuel economy on long hills etc
does the AC work all the time in the S? or does it cut out in Vtech?
if it doesn't would it be simple to take the power from the Vtech signal and run it through a relay to switch the AC clutch off when in Vtech
or buy the little black box for

would VTech not be better? The control box lets you set the off and the on so you could set it for off at 6.5K and not on again untill 2k this would keep it off during a spirited drive and allow it to kick back in once you went back into cruise mode.

Ooh never thought of that
unfortunately I dont have the reactions of a panther on speed or the memory to use them at all times so i need items like this, sometimes its not planned you just get in a situation where you need to drop a gear and go for it and with one hand on the wheel, one on the gearshift and both feet fully occupied i dont seem to have anything left (long enough) to reach the off button, i suppose a pencil held in the mouth might work and its certainly cheaper, but in this case sadly not an option for me

sorry about the Vtech, i will do a bit of self harm in punishment.

I used to drive in VTEC rev band all the time, so I'd never have AC.

I'd prefer it just on throttle. Then when you are braking (or feathering the throttle), the AC kicks in for a bit, and then goes off when you boot it again.

Think of it like extra engine braking

I believe this is correct but might be on revs also? Or maybe VTEC?

The Exige won't let you have aircon going at 9000 rpm and i'd bet it's the same on the S
