Airbox Lid Off
On advice, yesterday I removed the airbox lid to try for a while, and my oh my she sounds alot... meatier. Not had a chance to get a drive on proper roads yet, but I'm wondering if there's an associated power/response loss? I was expecting a nudge of one because the air entering the box is probably a bit warmer on average, but even just nurdling around town I *think* I can feel it... but I don't know if it's the placebo effect.
Anyone got any idea what kind of performance impact the airbox-off config has? Am I just kidding myself into believing I've lost noticeable power?

Placebo. It's not enough for anyone other than some highly trained folks to notice.
What may happen, is during hot weather, or longer drives, is some heat soak where the air going in is much hotter than with the top on. This may cause some kanagaroo-ing when getting moving from standstill.

On a Dyno run, we tried it with the lid off and lost 3 bhp. On the road I couldn't say it felt the power loss but definately was less responsive. I personally prefer the noise with the lid on
