Default air intake --- brain f@rt

hi
looking for a 'cheap thrill' here but have a complete brain fart !!
what are those little 's' shaped intakes that come out the front grill opening to the air box called again?

just ordered a K&N air filter from hellfords and wanna know if the additional intake thing will make any difference throttle response/acceleration or noise wise. i have already done the airbox mod and like the throaty sound if ya plant ya foot. prefer the lid off sound but not happy with the loss in response/power [however little BUT noticeable]

where/how much can i get one from/for?
any 'personal' opinions to them out there - not wanting to starts a mass debate or owt!

cheers fellow

ps the suns out... what ya doin in readin this

I am, imminently once the PRM is installed.

I think I offered first refusal to Ben Hampton though, as and when I finally get myself into gear and work out what I paid for it, and thus what to ask secondhand.

Ian, I thought Wayne (AusS2000) had stopped making and selling his accessories? Might explain why his site is FUBAR?
