Air Box gutting & Sound box blocked

Air Box gutting & Sound box blocked
Been reading 50000 posts on air box gutting and blocking off the ressonator box. So who on here has done either ? Obviously power increase is not going to happen but would like a nice meaty induction 
with my new snorkel. So i gather there are 3 things you can do.
1- remove L shape piece on lid
2 - gutt centre divider
3 - block off ressonator
So who done what pro and cons

I have removed the air box completely, no bogging down, no noticeable power loss, fuel economy no change.
I have also removed the air flow guide above the radiator to allow more air under the bonnet.
The noise is almost as good as the ITR running Jenvey ITB's.

i don't like air box off.. sounds rough.. a very ropey growl with a vibration..
dunno what it would be like with a k&n or JR though.

Took me ages to work out that someone wasn't following me around with a whining power tool - it went straight back on 
Much nicer when the noise comes from the back - HKS
just a bit more expensive
