Air Box Cover
Just a REAL quickie!
I took the lid off my airbox today and drove around a bit.... OMFG, the noise!
Now my question is .. i cannot believe that such a noise change caused by so much air being sucked in wont upset the running of the car, i floored it in first then quickly changed to second and thought i heard a pinking noise, would this of been caused because of the amount of air now being sucked in? also will it cause my engine any harm. Sorry if this has been asked a million times befor but its a first for me.
Thanks

you're not pulling in any more air, you can just hear the induction noise from the engine.
It won't do any damage, but you will find the car slightly down on power because your pulling in hot air from the engine bay and you will get a whine/humming noise at idle and certain revs.
