Default Ahhhhhh,....help!!!

Whilst out and about today

We stopped at a garden centre, put the roof up etc.

When we came back out I started the car and put the roof down. I then noticed that I had no dashboard lights. So I thought I'd try the Microsoft menthod.

I pulled up and switched the car on and off..........nothing.

I then pulled away and I had no Power steering

I drove straight home so I could investigate. I went to put the roof up...............nothing

Everything else works, radio, windows, air con etc
but the roof, dashboard lights and power steering are no more.

Any ideas what this could be???

Could it be fuses?? Seems a lot to go at once!!

As previously mentioned I don't have a UK handbook so I don't know which fuses to check and I don't know how to get the roof up manually

Can someone please help.

I have a fax number if someone can copy the relevant page from the handbook

Any help at all would be very well received.

If you've any sense, you'll be out enjoying the roof down motoring!!

This seems at least 4 fuse gone - not usual!
Manual says - manual close: disconnect connector for con top motor - lower corner dash passenger side; holding each corner, i.e, 2 peeps, raise top as far as it will go, pull on centre handle and then lock.

My approach go see dealer asap.

Cheers Mike. That's what the pictures looked like in the JDM manual but I just needed it confirming before I forced the roof and broke something.

Any ideas what disconnecting the motor does?

Does the car need to be running?

Ps I will be at the dealers by 8am tomorrow morning, don't you worry!!!

They are all controlled by the same fuse. It is No 5 (5th from bottom of left bank) rated at 7.5A on the Under-dash fuse box.

You'll find that your reversing lights don't work either.

Rob,

I hope you got that bit of information out of a manual. Not off the top of your head.....

V confusing the owner's manual then!

Mine mentions a fuse apiece for the L and R roof motors, another for the steering 9under bonnet) and another for the dash lights.

How is the poor non-tech to manage?

It seems that this fuse is for the control circuits only. All the motor circuits have their own fuses.
