aerial mount removal
What did any of you use to remove the mount nut, before I take a large flat head and a hammer to it.
I think the bad seal there is the source of my leaky boot problem
Cheers

You need a special type of plier type device.
My mechanic had one.
It's difficult to explain, but here goes....
It fits in the 2 holes at the top, and then you can unscrew it.
Normally you would squeeze the handles to maintain a tight grip, with this one, it's the other way round. You have to put the two ends bits in, and then you pull the handles apart to exert the pressure, and then you can unscrew it.
Hope I haven't confused you too much.

Halfords should have the tool you need, it's like a flat square spanner that has then ends bent, quick one on the leak, I found the source of mine to be the seal on the wing itself, when the boot is open look for the seam at the back corners of the boot and then look underneath for signs of surface rust as it could be a slightly split seam. I have put some sealent on it until I can rub it down and weld get it sprayed up
