Thanks rick - The K&N is still in the pot at the moment.

Mark - Not sure of the longtime plan at present. I've always been into driving from my first cars XR2s(2 of), RS Turbos(2of) to a Supra Turbo and Finally an Alpha GTV 3.0 v6 before I had to grow up and buy a 4x4 which lasted 12 months and then I realised I couldn't live without a sporty car and bought the S.

I must admit the S has really caught my attention and at present the only thing I'd change it for would be a newer S.

I think your intake is the Gruppe M is it not ? looks How does it perform?

One good thing with the S, is that I see very little point in getting a newer one! Its one of the few cars that has cosmetically changed very little compared to others In your case only the 06 is really that different so you just have to ask if you need those toys and ugly wheels

My filter is a Gruppe-M and seems to performvery well. Doesnt give any extra noise really though!

[QUOTE=Dark Blue Mark,Aug 27 2006, 06:37 PM] Get one of these then

My view on intakes, and tuning the S in general, is that its like fitting peices of a jigsaw. A lot of these bits dont make much difference on their own, but in comination they can be really effective - the problem is that it costs a lot of money to do all the N/A stuff.

What im leading to is - whats your long term plan? If you are looking to go further it may be worth going for a good intake. If you are just doing a couple of bits then I think you may be wasting

Decided to bin off the Renesis Challenge today and fit my AEM V2 intake instead.

All in all its taken me three and a half hours from start to finish.

Just got back from test driving it !!

When driving at 30 mph without giving it any the car sounds pretty much the same as stock, maybe a bit more throaty.

However, when you give it some OMFG all hell breaks loose. The sound is absolutely fantastic.

I think the throttle maybe seems a little more responsive.

Anymore Horses?? Not sure will have to carry out further testing, in fact I'm gonna crack on with it now.

Cheers Andy
