Default AEM Serial Gauge Questions

Hello,

Looking for some concise, clear instructions here.

I have installed the serial gauge, it works.

I followed the instructions and connected the ECU up the my laptop running AEMpro. I turned the telemetry on and selected serial gauge.

The gauge turns on, works fine, I can scroll through different readings which is great, however I am not sure the readings are correct (or being displayed correctly).

H20 which is collant temp reads 32 when car isnt turned on and then rises to 170-180 when fully up to temp. Its reading in Degree Fahrenheit instead of degrees c.

How do I change this? Also how do I know the other "out the box displayed" readings are correct. Speed is bang on the mark. as is throttle position.

I have never done any ECU tuning, please be nice and clear for me!

Mike

You need to connect the serial gauge to a laptop, then use the software provided to change the units (from memory). I set mine up a couple of years ago now.

If you are really stuck I can email you my calibration file so you can upload it to your gauge?

No the gauge has separate software. You need to unplug the gauge and calibrate that with a laptop. I can't remember what the softwares called now, but it comes with the gauge.

Mattie helped me with mine.

I'll send you the cal file when I find it. You will still need to use a laptop to uploaded it though.
