It will be deemed a bonus and I doubt that it would make any difference to the sale price.

Probably better to stick it on retention and sell separately.

It might swing me to buy your car rather than another of similar age and price, but I wouldn't expect to pay anything extra for it.

I'd have thought you'll get at least

I am still looking for an S2000 plate, so I geg to differ. I would never buy a car because of what plate it has on it, when you are looking for the right car, their are so many other factors, and yes it may be abonus nothing more nothing less. I would suggest you sell privately, I do not think it will effect the resale value of your car one bit!

I have my own non S2000 related plate which I will always have on whatever car I happen to be driving. From my point of view, a private plate would hold 2 different meanings

1) If it

Interestingly however, I would assume that someone with a private plate on their car was a motoring enthusiast and therefore more likely to have looked after the car/be more my kind of guy. This may well influence my decision to view their car in the first place.
You can easily use photos of the car with the private plate to sell the car ..... but make a note on the advert to say that the plate is not included in the sale.

(I did this with a CRV I sold a few months back)

Guess I'm in the minorty - actually prefer a car that hasnt had different plates over its time. I think private plates are a complete waste of money!

In depreciation terms I'd say that cars are greater wastes of money

Sell the car with it

And offer to remove it to reduce the asking price
