advice removing scratches from paintwork
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has any advice for removing scratches (seen in the attached photo)?
These were on the car when I purchased it. If this was on any of my previous cars I would have cracked out the t-cut by now but I don't want to go ruining the paintwork. I'm afraid I have little knowledge/experience when it comes to detailing & bodywork.

Ive got some good scratches on mine too... so considering Tcut polish ive never used Tcut before or even tried to remove any scratches to be totally honest. Ive washed and de tard... nor to be confused with re tard... . (Im sure weve all done a bit of that before) clayed, waxed etc. But never polished out scratches.....
considering a detailer.... had a quote for £400!!! So would like to give it a go myself.
Those scrathes look like they may need some elbow grease.... good luck.

I think I've tried that Autoglym Paint Renovator on my bike, I don't remember the results being that great but it might be worth another try before using a more harsh product.

Doing things by hand you have nothing to worry about. That scuff will come out a long long way before you do any kind of damage.
You shouldn't be quick to write detailers off, I gaurantee you if I made you go through the process I use you would be wanting a LOT more than 400 quid to do it again...
Besides if you are worried about doing damage by hand on a small area of a car what chance do you stand correcting a whole car to a standard that a paying customer would be satisfied with? Im not trying to be aggresive or anything it just annoys me how people approach these kind of things.

The £400 quote was for a 2 day detail... scratch and dent removal included too. Plus all the usual strip back and build back up to the vigazzle bling-ness..... a number of things were included... being sealed, wheels off and also full referb... etc etc all sounded interesting but best left to the professionals.... after ive given it a go.... if needs be I guess. :-(
in my opinion detailing is not a fancy valet.... its a professional paint refurb.... so may well pay if needs be. Then I can keep it good afterwards :-)
