Just had a call from the garage fitting my new clutch.
Conversation goes something like this:
"Hello Sir. That super duper ACT clutch kit you bought for us to fit.........did u know it doesnt contain a release bearing?"
"no", i say....."i bought it as a clutch kit so presumed it had the lot in it"
"so did we" he says "I have called Honda and can get you one for

IME, clutch kits should include the release bearing. I have known companies to 'forget' to include the the various bearings, but not ACT.
I'd check your invoice for the kit and any form of advertising that went with it to see if it mentions the inclusion of the bearing. Perhaps you could speak to ACT/vendor and see what they have to say about the matter.
I'd say that

Is this general practice to not include the release bearing??
I bought the release bearing (and new flywheel) from Hardtopguy at the same time I bought my clutch kit.

Jeez...that's pretty poor form. They're not exactly dirt cheap, and they have the neck to include 'kit' in the title and not include bearings.
I'll bear all of this in mind when mine needs doing (still on the original, 86k on the clocks!)

Nice of them to include a piece of paper saying what's not included.
