Of course at CG's workshop Click on my MAM link in my sig for address.
There's space, shelter, Jayne's lovely cakes and Master Chris.
I've been thinking along the lines of one full day with 4 cars maximum and doing Brakes. Bring your tools and parts. Start early and over lunch Chris probably would throw in a tech talk on the subject. Off the top of my head if doing brakes, procedure would be...
Jacking the car up on stands
Wheels off
calipers off
inspect old pads
drain brake fluid
fit Stainless Steel hose (optional)
new pads on
lubrication points
calipers on
brake fluid in
bleed
check
wheels on
etc.
This Academy day is provisionally aimed at beginners. So the above can easily cover the whole day. It will be very detail and done step by step.
Of course, I was lucky enough to be Chris's genie-pig and have done the brakes with him. It was fantastic, I've learnt a lot about the basic approach to the car. Since then, I've managed to paint my calipers myself which involved skills I've learnt from doing the brakes.

I'm assuming this is an S-only meet?
If not, I'd love to do this! Have been looking for something similar myself for ages!

But having the same cars, working on the same parts that looks the same, will make things easier. I understand the basic principles of every car is similar, but because it's for beginners, every step and detail matters. So I take it back, S's only for now
UNless you find a bunch of scoobies and I'll be happy to organise one for you, or you could do it yourself with Chris.

Assuming that the initial day was todo with brakes, it would be very helpful to know a definitive list (for us TOTAL NEWBS) here of what tools are required (sizes etc) to get the job done start to finish, this information could also be updated in the FAQ so any other DIYer's out there had a reference
