Please, please, please, test your sensors...it really isn't too difficult. If you don't, Honda will charge you for the control unit labour (at least 2-3 hours knowing what dealers are like), then the cost of further diagnosis, then the cost of the faulty sensor(s), and the labour on top of that.

There is no point wasting money at a dealer. If you roll over and just let them get on with it regardless, they'll do this time and time again to others.

The service manual can be found in motogp1's signatures and won't take you long to suss out the problem.

I will eat my hat at XM6 if it is the dealer is correct...I really will.

We've sold masses of sensors for various cars but not one control unit, check the sensors first.

I'm not sure whether there's any difference of a s2k abs sensor to a civic's one, but for my civic, sometimes it's just a matter of cleaning the head of the sensor. a bit of dust or grit will be sufficient to cause the fault.
