Damn, that's bad news, Rich.
Does it look like the standard 3-pointer ?

Er, no... probably driving too fast.... doh!

Bad luck, not the best way to end a great weekend. Like the photos and trust plod only go for a fixed penalty,

Cheers Guys - on a second look, (ie the first one ended up in a number of expletives) its a bit confusing.

It's all a bit (and this is not a nationalistic thing) Welsh !

From what I can see I was caught doing 42mph in a 30 zone.

Just spoke - via a mutual friend - to a traffic bloke, who says he's never heard of the letter I received, although would imagine a fixed penalty, which is bad, but it could be a lot worse !

In a sort of ironic way, I've spent the last three months with no points on my license for the first time in ten years !! I thought it felt a bit odd !

Cheers
Rich

Almost certainly fixed penalty and 3 points. No biggie if you have a clean license. Very annoying though !

I often deactivate the BEL550 to avoid false alerts but will try to keep it on permanently from now on. Might also get a Road Angel ...

I remember my S5 went nuts and came up with LASER in the display just before I saw the van, so I made sure I was doing a respectable speed. I've had loads of K and Ka alerts to warn me of mobile and fixed cameras, but never Laser.

Sorry to hear you got done by this Rich. What with this and your tyres it can't have been a cheap weekend

Rich, we were definitly caught leaving Portmierion, based on the time on the letter, did you think you were caught on the way in. Maybe they swung it around based on 'intelligence'
