Default 9 month wait is over

The driving position is perfect every thing in perfect reach, the steering wheel feels so small and chunky and the stalks behind feel solid, not light and plastic like many other cars, its actually a pleasure to indicate to other road users! Only thing about the interior I don't like is the positioning of the hazard light button, my mates love to faff with some of the control's on my previous cars (like radio and heating controls), just to annoy me as I'm driving. I know they will take real pleasure in having this button right next to them to turn on and off as they like, just to anoy me.

when I got home I took my mate out for a quick drive, I put my foot down at 40 pulling onto a dual carriageway, I had barely changed into 3rd when I hear 'all right Chris that's enough'!

I've been driving very careful after every thing I've read about these cars. You do get allot of feel of what the cars doing in the steering and sitting on the back axle helps. I've played with the devil a few time already (not driving fast) when I've hit cat eyes on a corner and felt the car jump sideways, also taking a not very sharp left turn, a change in tarmac from new to old, the car just slipped, back end come out only slightly but it felt controllable, lastly I was in 2nd gear, feeding the power in just hitting vtec when the back wheels decided to have a little line dance from left to right, easily sorted though.

PS. This is going to be very expensive on petrol compared to the MGF! But I dont care

Glad you're enjoying it, take it easy over the winter and you'll have fun opening it up once it starts getting warmer. I bought mine in March and got faster and faster over the summer.

Check those rear tyres if it's skipping a lot, never really suffered with that in mine..

Bloody hell Chris, at last!

Did you get a UK one in the end? Nice colour choice, but you're never not gonna be cleaning it for the next few months though!

Top tip: practice using the throttle to fine-steer the car round big roundabouts, etc. It comes in useful for balancing the car during the inevitable oversteer moments.

Chris

Enjoy the action, but be careful if the tyres haven't warmed up, or when in the wet !!

Expensive petrol (Shell Optimax) is a small price to pay for the on your face !!

Now you will need to budget for the mods !!

Bharat

Best colour for the car BTW, not so sure about the PIMP leather interior

I worry about the positioning of the handbrake, and its proximity to the passenger seat.

Once, I noticed at 85km/h on the motorway once a female passenger was holding it in her right hand (rather suggestively I may point out) and it was somewhat disconcerting.

Ah yes, there is nothing like doing that to a mate

The proximity of the handbrake is rather interesting. When I first got the car, I accidently grabbed my mate's knee. He was rather pleased.
